The CoinLab executive team includes Peter Vessenes and Jodie Brady
Peter Vessenes started his first technology company at 13 -- he says he needed money to take his girlfriend on dates, but didn't want to work in fast food -- and since then has launched nearly a dozen businesses. He refers to entrepreneurship as 'a sickness', and his enthusiasm for new technologies and business models is infectious.
He's convinced that Bitcoins can change the world, and has taught all three of his children how to keep up on the Bitcoin-Dollar exchange rate, just in case.
He graduated from Brown University with an Sc.B. in Theoretical Mathematics, and an emphasis in cryptography. Sadly he failed his only International Finance class; he was unable to explain to his professor how digital micropayments were different than credit cards.
Jodie Brady, Chief Financial Officer, is responsible for the company's accounting, finance, tax, treasury, human resources and operations management functions.
Prior to joining CoinLab, Brady was responsible for strategic planning at Clearwire Corporation. She also served as Vice President, Business Operations for Pixelworks, Inc., where she led international teams in the areas of finance, accounting, human resources, information technology, inside sales and supply chain management.
Brady has extensive start-up, private financing, IPO and international management experience. Brady also held roles in corporate finance at Nike, Inc. and InFocus Corporation. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (magna cum laude) from Pacific University.
